Wapirrku Kanturrpamarra composed songs in Ngarla, an Aboriginal language spoken in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. 'He worked at the slaughter yard near Pretty Pool in Port Hedland, Western Australia.' Wapirrku Kanturrpamarra was uncle for Mingkarlajirri (q.v.). Source: Ngarla Songs (2003)
