1 Godot : The Wait Is Over Ian Robinson , 2017 single work drama

'Beckett’s classic play defi es imitation, but in Godot: The Wait is Over, we respectfully re-join Didi and Gogo as they grapple with existential questions and agonise over the impending arrival of their greatest fear and dearest hope – the mysterious “Mister Godot”. Ian Robinson’s play succeeds in being both a respectful homage to the original and an irreverent flight of delicious fantasy away from it. He has managed to transform the dramatic milieu and the rhythms of Waiting for Godot into something new.

'Godot: The Wait is Over is in turns farcical and serious, physical and cerebral, sad and funny, trivial and meaningful and will keep audiences amused, moved, surprised and edifi ed; and in the end delighted that they have been on this ultimately satisfying journey with these two iconic tramps.'

1 2 The Process Ian Robinson , 2015 single work drama

'The Process, the biting political satire that recently completed a triumphant sell-out season at Melbourne\'s iconic La Mama Theatre, is coming to Canberra for four nights only at the Street Theatre.

'The play mercilessly dissects the immigration policies both the previous Labor and the current Coalition government with hilarious results, while at the same time following the wretched plight of a Tamil refugee caught in the limbo between being a genuine refugee and having a negative ASIO assessment. Locals will find some of the scenes especially evocative as they recognize on stage the alter egos of more than one former Immigration Minister twisting his way through a press conference.'
