Weeda Nyanulla was born near Mt Joseph in the King Leopold Ranges in the Kimberley of Western Australia. Nyanulla grew up on Mt Hart Station and became a renowned stockwoman. She was the wife of Morndi Munro.
Her father's name was Long Paddy and he belonged to the Wundigul people. Manuworla was the name of her mother. Long Paddy was born around 1905 and became known as Police Paddy Wundigul for being caught by police in 1927 for murdering two men. He was taken to Derby then Broome Jail where he escaped and came back to his family. He was then caught again and sent to Fremantle and returned to the Kimberley in old age.
