Anthony Steel 'was the first general manager of the Adelaide Festival Centre and the artistic director for five Festivals during the 70s and 80s. For these achievements, Anthony was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1978. He has managed various arts organisations around the world and returned home to apply his experience to running major events such as the Sydney Festival, Brisbane Music Festival and the National Festival of Australian Theatre in Canberra.'
