Toby Wiliguru Pambardu was blind since boyhood but strove to overcome that disadvantage. Considered one of the greatest 20th-century Aboriginal songwriters in the Pilbara, he employed strict measurement of non-repetitive verses with considerable complexity to the creation of a great number of songs.
