John Sterling was a British writer, poet and friend of Samuel Taylor Coleridge whose work was sometimes published in nineteenth-century Australian newspapers and magazines including the Temperance Advocate and Australasian Commercial and Agricultural Intelligencer and the Australian Magazine.
