BiographyHistory

Gladys Spratt grew up in North Perth in an environment that was tough. Her father was in jail and her mother was not coping well so Gladys had to take on the role of carer to her younger brothers and sisters. She was eventually taken to Bridgewater Nursing Home and then to Sister Kate's Children's Home. After leaving home for a hostel in Esperance, Gladys Spratt moved back to Perth.
