Susan Jones grew up in Perth with seven brothers and one sister. She lived in Guildford until 1970 when the family moved to Coolbellup, and then Meekatharra. After getting into some trouble, Susan and her sister Annette where sent down to Mt Lawley to live in receiving homes. She missed her family and managed to find some of her cousins after running away and eventually found herself getting into trouble again. After living in many different areas Susan Jones eventually met Eric Krakouer (q.v.) and had a son.
