Notes

  • Halloran's poem 'What a Governor Ought to Be' appeared in the Tickler Magazine on 1 March, 1820 (p. 48), with the author's name indicated as 'A-Y-T-M'. It is unclear whether Halloran actually used this writing name, or whether it was instead dubbed by the editor of the Tickler Magazine.
