Possibly Sydney artist, John Richard Passmore, b. 4 February 1904 Sydney, NSW; d. 9 October 1984. Between 1918 and 1933, Passmore studied intermittently at the Sydney Art School (with Julian Ashton, q.v.). He then undertook independent study in Europe 1933-1950, returning to Sydney after seventeen years overseas.
