BiographyHistory

Canberra Films was set up in Sydney, New South Wales, sometime around 1956 by producer/director Anthony Kimmins. The company's only known film was Smiley Gets a Gun. According to the Twentieth-Century Fox Records of the Legal Department archive (located at the UCLA Arts-Special Collections Library), the film was financed entirely by Fox (ctd. Turner Classic Movies website, 30 October 2009).
