BiographyHistory

English novelist Leonard Merrick visited Australia during 1926; as far as is known he did not return to this country nor did he include Australian content in any of his works. His numerous publications include: Cynthia, a Daughter of the Philistines (1896), The Worldlings (1900), Conrad in Quest of his Youth (1903), The Man Who Understood Women and Other Stories (1908), The Position of Peggy Harper (1911) and A Chair on the Boulevard (19--).
