Ros Pierce is a Ngarrindjeri woman, and her people are traditional owners of land around the Coorong in the upper south-east of South Australia. She grew up in the household of a foster family and was eventually reunited with her biological parents and family. Wanting to make a better life for her children and herself Ros gained employment in a number of different nursing institutions working in different communities.
