Born in Western Australia, artist and illustrator Rebecca Cool has studied at the Claremont School of Fine Art and has had her work shown at a number of exhibitions. Her work became widely recognised when she was commissioned to do the 1993 Festival of Perth promotional piece. Since then she has steadily gained a loyal, almost cult, following. Her art work has also been used to illustrate children's books. Cool has lived on a rural property on the Margaret River, WA with her partner, and fellow artist, Ross Miller.
