BiographyHistory

'Simon Haines is Professor and Head of English and Director of the Research Centre for Human Values at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is the Secretary of the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities. His monographs include Poetry and Philosophy from Homer to Rousseau: Romantic Souls, Realist Lives (2005) and Redemption in Poetry and Philosophy: Wordsworth, Kant and the Making of the Post-Christian Imagination (2013). He co-edited the Reader in European Romanticism (2nd edition 2014), which won the Barricelli Prize in 2010.' (Source : Free Mind : Essays and Poems in Honour of Barry Spurr)
