Heather Taylor is the granddaughter of Harry Shadforth who came to live at Kunmunya mission because he was recruited from Thursday Island, by Reverend J. R. B. Love, to skipper the mission boat. Taylor was born and raised with the Mowanjum Community in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
