BiographyHistory

Max L. Raab - Si Litvinoff Film Productions was formed in the early 1970s to produce the Australian film, Walkabout (q.v.). Although Litvinoff established his credentials as a producer during the 1970s this was the only film to be made by the company.

  • Best known for his two 1971 productions Walkabout and A Clockwork Orange, and the 1976 David Bowie film, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Si Litvinoff graduated with honours from Adelphi College in New York, and later went on to N.Y.U. Law School. He practiced law in New York City for some 12 years, with many of his clients coming from the arts and entertainment industries. He was also involved in more than 50 stage productions, including those for the Theater Studio of New York and The Cecilwood Playhouse.

    Litvinoff's other films from this period (as executive producer) include, The Queen (1968), All the Right Noises (1969) and Glastonbury Fayre (1972). He also undertook the role of executive producer for Blue Gold: World Water Wars (2008).

    Max L. Raab (1925-2008) was an American film producer/director and actor who co-produced All the Right Noises, Walkabout and A Clockwork Orange with Litvinoff.
