BiographyHistory

While travelling from King George Sound, Western Australia, to Sydney, New South Wales, in 1831, Captain Collet Barker undertook an exploratory expedition to the mouth of the Murray River, South Australia. He was speared by Aborigines there and died, on 30 April 1831.
