BiographyHistory

Dora Dann never knew her Scottish father Max Scott and was raised by her mother Minnie Dongara and step father Charlie Dongara on Byro Station in the Gascoyne area of Western Australia. Dora Dann has one brother and two sisters. Dora Dann was married traditionally to a man named Joe Dann by her parents in 1938. As a highly respected Elder, Dann was recognised by the Geraldton Mayor to be dedicated to keeping her language alive.
