BiographyHistory

Author of short stories and one novel, Ashes of Roses (as Francia Hope), which was briefly reviewed on publication but is otherwise rather neglected.

Born in Branxholme, Victoria, she married clergyman Oscar Charles Esperson in 1914 and had two children, born in 1915 and 1918: she thereafter lived the peripatetic lifestyle of a church spouse, including a period in Normanton. She died in Melbourne in 1964.

She was the sister of Eloise Weatherly and Marjorie Weatherly.
