Nyaparu Attwood was born on De Grey Station, Pilbara area, Western Australia, to June and Jimmy Attwood. Nyaparu Attwood married Elsie Allen at De Grey Station. Nyaparu Attwood participated in the Pilbara Pastoral Workers Strike, which began in 1946.
