Cecily Napanangka Sampson worked at the Yuendumu School in Central Northern Territory before moving to Darwin to attend Batchelor Teachers College, but returned home to Yuendumu because of homesickness. When the community established Waylilinypa School at a Yuendumu outstation, Sampson was asked to take the position of teacher there. The school teaches Warlpiri language, and parents are involved in teaching Dreamtime stories.
