BiographyHistory

Murrarany was the birth name given to Valerie Ashburton by her Elders and refers to water coming from the hills and the noise it makes. Murrarany was married to a man named Kippy Ashburton and had seven children; Lenny, Jimmy, Charlston, Joanie, Corbett, Merle and Harold. Murrarany worked throughout her life on a number different cattle stations in the Pilbara.
