BiographyHistory

The Centre for Research in Culture and Communication (CRCC) was established at Murdoch University (Perth, Western Australia) in 1990 and operated up until 2003. It was superseded in 2004 by the Centre for Everyday Life. It is now known as the School of Media and Communication.

In 1995, the centre established the Culture and Communication Reading Room website. Originally conceived by Professor Tom O'Regan as an on-going repository for research undertaken by both staff and students of the centre, the Reading Room now survives as a permanent archive.

Notes

  • While the Culture and Communication Reading Room's homepage http://wwwmcc.murdoch.edu.au/ReadingRoom/ (sighted 23/07/2010) indicates that the site is no longer being updated, the 'Australian Film' subset (aka OzFilm) remains on-going. Research relating to Australian films (including criticism, reviews, and cast and production details) is provided by students of MCC231: Australian Cinema (School of Media and Communication).
