BiographyHistory

In 1999, at the height of the East Timor crisis, Geoff Fox read a poem in a duet with Amien Rais (well known Indonesian politician), at an important public meeting in Jakarta. It included the lines:

'I pray to God to give us strength

against the guns misused

by a malicious minority.'
