BiographyHistory

Tracker Tilmouth was forcibly removed from the care of his parents as a child and taken from Alice Springs to Minjilang Mission on Croker Island. Tilmouth worked on cattle stations before becoming involved in Indigenous rights. He was instrumental in the establishment of Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service and the community controlled health service. He was also involved in the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress in the 1970s. Tracker Tilmouth has served as the Director of the Central Land Council.
