Wiradjuri elder Stan Grant grew up in Yenda, New South Wales, a small village in the Murrimbigee Irrigation Area. He has seen his language almost disappear after it was banned from use. Stan has fought to remedy this by creating and teaching culture and language programs across Southern New South Wales. He is also co-author of the first Wiradjuri Dictionary. His work has taken him to prisons, schools, TAFE colleges and Universities. Stan Grant is the father of Australian and international television personality Stan Grant.
