BiographyHistory

Reg Clarke an Aboriginal man, was born in Bordertown, South Australia. He was 16 years old when he enlisted in the Army in 1942 and commissioned in the 2/23rd Infantry Battalion at Tarakan a small island off the north-east coast of Borneo. He was demobilised in 1946. His brother Tom 'Massa' Clarke, also fought in the Second World War.
