BiographyHistory

Bill Edwards a Kirrae Wurrung man, grew up in Framlingham Mission, his mother Dolly Edwards was a Yorta Yorta woman from Cummeragunja. Bill travelled in search of work in his adolescent years. At the age of 16, in 1941 he joined the army but was discharged, however, putting his age up, he re-enlisted. After his basic training, he was commissioned in New Guinea where he fought in battles against the advancement of Japanese soldiers.
