Linda Bonson is a Ngkurr woman from the Roper River and Lake Nash region of the Northern Territory, who grew up in Darwin. Her 'tribal totems are the King Brown snake and the brolga'. Bonson's great-grandmother, Dolly Bonson, was also known as Bett Bett and was portrayed by Jeannie Gunn in her book We of the Never Never.
