BiographyHistory

Bilin Bilin was a Kombumerri and Yugambeh leader who was adamant that he would live his life in his own land. He evaded being placed on a reserve until he was too old to evade government authorities. Bilin Bilin had a daughter named Emily who married a man from the Munanjali people named Willie Williams, and cared for orphaned children. The traditional burial of Bilin Bilin reflected the life of an important and respected man.
