Kylie Cassidy is of the Wiradjuri people and has been prominent in the Indigenous community on the New South Wales Central Coast for many years. In 2004/2005 she was a member of the National Indigenous Youth Leadership Group.
At NAIDOC 2004 she won an award for Achievement in art and culture at the Central Coast Koori Community Awards and her art works have appeared on the covers of the New South Wales Department of Health brochures. In 2008 Cassidy graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Community Management.
