BiographyHistory

Ailred Ingram witnessed the cruelty that was inflicted on Aboriginal people in his youth first hand. Born in Northam, Ailred's father was a Wadjari man and Ailred accompanied his father when he was young in search of work. Ailred Ingram began working at fifteen as a farm hand until he moved to Mullewa. He experienced a brief stint in the Army and left to continue doing piece work. Ailred married and had twelve children.
