BiographyHistory

Sheila Duncan has worked in theatre, film, television and radio for over twenty-five years. She won Best South Australian Actress Awards in 2002 and 2003. She began writing for the stage in 1991 with Growing up a Girl, which was published, for use in schools, by the Australian Association of Teachers of English in 1995.

Duncan has written feature film scripts with support from the South Australian Film Corp and has been mentored by Ron Blair. She completed a Master of Arts in Communications Studies at the University of South Australia and has studied for a Master of Science in Creative Writing, specialising in playwriting, under the supervision of Nicola McCartney at the University of Edinburgh.
