BiographyHistory

Annie Coulthard grew up at Wertaloona Station where she began working as a housemaid until marrying Sam Coulthard (q.v.). In the 1980s Annie Coulthard worked tirelessly towards accurately recording all of the traditional Adnyamathanha stories taught to her throughout her life. Coulthard taught many of the culturally important stories to the children in the language of Yura Ngawarla. Annie Coulthard is also the sister of Elsie Jackson (q.v.).
