BiographyHistory

Born in Chile to a Chilean mother and an Australian father, Geoffrey Mora came to Australia with his family in 1933. During World War II, Mora enlisted in the Army and served in Borneo. After the war Mora returned to Chile with his mother and siblings, and worked both there and in Argentina. In 1956, he returned to Australia and worked as an interpreter during the Melbourne Olympic Games. In 2005 Mora was still living in Melbourne. (Source: 'Migratory Memories', Violeta Veliz)
