BiographyHistory

Golden Point Press was established by Dennis Bryans, who had previously taught typography and graphic design at Swinburne University. The name 'Golden Point' was derived from an early tent school on the Ballarat Goldfields attended by Bryans's mother.

Bryans has stated that the long-term purpose of the Press is 'to publish books that add to Australia's cultural storehouse, to help writers into print and continue printing in Australia.'

As at May 2009, the Press has mainly published local and family histories.
