BiographyHistory

Hilda Wilson is a Ngarrindjeri woman and Elder. She was born in Raukkan and lived there until she was fourteen. Her father Wilfred John came from Poonindie and her grandfather was William Rankine. Wilson's family was forcibly moved from Raukkan to Point Pearce Mission on the Yorke Peninsula when Wilson was fourteen. Wilson later moved to Adelaide. Her daughter is Elva Wanganeen.
