Greta May Coleman has lived in Brewarrina for most of her life. When Coleman was a child, she lived with her grandmother, while her mother worked on the stations in the surrounding areas. After she was married, her husband left her to bring up a large family on her own. Coleman found work in a hospital, doing the laundry, to provide for her children.
