BiographyHistory

Sue DeGennaro was awarded a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in film, from Flinders University (1989), learnt how to weld and draw at North Adelaide School of Art from which she received a Diploma of Fine Art in 1990, then moved to Sydney to become an aerialist/performance artist (1991-2002). In 2003 she undertook a course in illustration at the CAE in Melbourne and in 2008 was awarded an Australian Society of Authors' Mentorship with Justine Murray. Her first picture book as illustrator was published in 2009.

Sue DeGennaro was a 2023 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellow.
