BiographyHistory

George Dutton is a Bagundji man and the grandfather of Lorna Rose Dixon (q.v.). Dutton was born at Yancannia Station to an English born drover named George Vicars Dutton. He married a woman named Alice Bates and lived in the Tibooburra area with his family until they were forced to live in Brewarrina Mission in 1938. George Dutton was a speaker of Paakantyi, Malyangapa, Wangkumarra, Yandruwantha and Arabanna.
