BiographyHistory

Agnus Shea's mother Violet Josephine Freeman Bulger was born on Brungle Station around 1900 and became a stockwoman on her traditional lands. Violet Bulger assisted Agnus' grandfather Fred Freeman in rounding up brumbies. Agnus spent time on Brungle Mission as child and had many relatives there.

Throughout her life, Agnus Shea has worked toward bridging a better understanding of Aboriginal culture by non-Indigenous Australians. Shea has delivered traditional welcoming ceremonies at numerous events in Canberra.
