Kristin Henry migrated with her parents to Australia in the mid '60s. She has been actively involved in the community as a leader of creative writing projects and has had public performances of her poetry readings and participated in workshops over the last twenty years in venues from pubs and schools to the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Writers Festival. Her poetry has been set to music, adapted for theatre, printed on posters, broadcast on radio and displayed in cafes and on Melbourne trams. Her poetry and fiction often deals with childhood experiences and feminist issues. Apart from her own publications Henry has also (co-)edited several poetry and short story anthologies, and she has taught at the Victoria University of Technology (TAFE).
