BiographyHistory

Duall was a Dharawal man who lived in the first half of the 1800s. He was one of several young men who accompanied Hamilton Hume on a journey inland from the Cowpastures in 1814. In 1816 he was transported to Van Diemen's Land for inciting robbery and 'barbarity'. Repatriated in 1819, he was one of several Indigenous men who were awarded breastplates for assisting Charles Throsby in his journey from Cowpastures to Bathurst.
