BiographyHistory

Ernest Brough served in the 32nd Battalion during World War II. Together with two other Australian prisoners-of-war, Brough escaped from a camp in Austria. The three men were held by Partisans in Croatia before reaching safety in Bosnia and making their way to Italy. Brough wrote of his wartime experiences in Dangerous Days: A Digger's Great Escape (2009).
