BiographyHistory

The Australian Children's Literature Alliance (ACLA) was established by the Australia Council with assistance from the Copyright Agency. The alliance's initial focus is the creation of 'a national children's laureate and a website to profile writing for young people'. Members of the ACLA Board are drawn from representatives of 'publishers, booksellers, creators and major national children's literature organisations'. ACLA's inaugural chair is Bronwen Bennett (q.v.).
