BiographyHistory

Nora Jalirduma was born in the early 1920s. Her traditional land was on the west bank of the Wearyan River. She was one of the lead singers in the Yanyuwa community. Her daughter is Eileen McDinny Manankurrmara. Jalirduma was instrumental in the compilation of Little Eva at Moonlight Creek and Other Aboriginal Song Poems by singing traditional songs recorded by the editors and by providing linguistic assistance in the transcription and translation processes.
