'Adam J. A. Cass has written more than thirty-five plays, which have been staged in venues across Melbourne, interstate, and overseas. Highlights include the 'Art 'n Death Trilogy', comprising the plays Fainting 33 Times, Have Dreamed of a Time and The Anniversary of the Death of Sarah Kane (Bob Pavlich directed, winning the 2004 Green Room Award for Direction, Independent Theatre). All three plays have also been produced individually with different directors - variously at La Mama, VCA and Huddersfield University in the UK.
Cass directed his monologue The Audition, performed by Hayley Butcher at La Mama in 2005, and again in 2006. He wrote and directed The Killing Fever at La Mama in August 2007, and his play, I Love You, Bro was performed by Ash Flanders in the 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival, directed by Yvonne Virsik, and for which he won the Fringe Fringe 'Melbourne Dramatists Emerging Playwright Award'. Bro has also earned him a nomination for the 2007 Green Room Award for Best New Australian Writing.'
