Rebecca Conroy has a PhD from the University of Newcastle. Her thesis, 'Oppositional performance practices in contemporary Indonesia,' was completed in 2006. She has directed performances in Indonesia and Australia and in 2008 became Associate Director of The Performance Space at Carriageworks, Eveleigh, NSW.
