BiographyHistory

Ruby Hamad graduated from Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, Victoria, where she majored in film writing and directing. Her non-fiction work on the intersection of racism and sexism, White Tears, Brown Scars, was published by Melbourne University Press in September 2019 and was shortlisted for the NSW Premier's Awards (Multicultural NSW). Her work has also appeared in the Fairfax media, The Guardian, Prospect Magazine, and The New Arab.
